Hi all,

I have a jazz sound that's been kicking about for years and finally wanted to actually get round to giving it some TLC.

Just taken off the neck and it is stamped as per link below:

Not seen this on anyone elses instruments so wondered if it looked correct?

I've had the bass in a case for about 25 years and bought it second hand in around 94. It's a fretless which looking at all the catalogues suggests could be TJB70F from about 84.

The nut is in need of serious work and a good set up but otherwise in decent condition.

Looks good. I think N = natural finish, 502 is the part number, FL is fretless
