Tokai LS60 2002, Japan? Can someone confirm this?

I'm about to get a deal on this Tokai: https://www.marktplaats.nl/a/muziek-en- ... b9c5b7a618

There is not a 'made in Japan' sign on it, but it has the two-screw trussrod cover. The serialnumber is: 0205750

It's stamped on the back of the headstock. Is this a 2002 Love Rock from Japan? And are these models any good? I hear and read good stuff about 'em.

As far as in Europe existed a single distributor at that time, it can be one made for UK based Murdoch dealer. I guess we forgot how Murdoch made Tokai growing. I have some advertisiments in the magazines of that times. Remember internet was very young and, besides Japan forums , Tokai was not very well known here. except this forum.. We has a mission and I think we did a great job pushing the brand to a higher status as deserved.

Are these good guitars? They don't make LS60 models any more, are these comparable with the current LS95 line-up?

Mid level Japan models, 2 piece maple2 pieces top, 2 pieces body, urethane finish.
Only LS50 model below 3 pieces top. Same as LS70 but no thin laminated sheet over maple top

Nice guitars...

I'd say if the price is right, then you have a great chance at a great guitar. I have a 2000 MIJ TJ60 (D/C) and its fantastic.
