Hi
just bought a Springy Sound but need help to find out how old it is.
I thing it might be a 1978 or 1979 when looking at the serial number, but Im
not sure. There is no stickers..st-50 - st-60 - st 70. The pick up is gray and stamped with E. Is this a st 60 ?
There is a funny stickers at the neck near the body but this might just be a joke. If you have any knowledge please let me know.

Any input are welcome, Thank you

Michael

Wow, looks like a genuine 1979 st 60, the model number is stamped on the fret board. Someone with more experience will know for sure, but looks good to me, congrats.

Hi, Thank you, yes I like it.
But I can not see any model number stamped on the free board.

Actually, to me it looks more like it says 80 on the fretboard end. I have what I think is an ST-60 from 1982. I bought it from the original owner. It had SD SSL-1 pickups when I bought it but I managed to trade them for a set of Tokai E pickups. I use two of them and put a DiMarzio FS-1 in the bridge position. It's a great strat.

jonah65 wrote the year in an earlier post. The first digit of the serial number is the year - 1979.

Tokai stamped tuners and bridge saddles were used in the 70's. My 1982 Springy has Deluxe stamped tuners and Final Prospec stamped saddles like the Goldstars.

I learn a lot, thanks.
So the last question is the sticker on the neck.
Is this something original or.....?

M & M custom performance...?
