Hi. I've Just purchased a Tokai Love Rock and would like to identify which model it is. From the serial 1227511 I assume a 2012 year, but what model is it? |

Impossible to tell by the model number only.We need pics from your guitar. You need an account for flickr or a similar service and load the pics up there to be able to post us the link here.
Images can indeed be shown in your posts. However, there is no facility at present for uploading images directly to this board. Therefore you must link to an image stored on a publicly accessible web server, e.g. http://www.some-unknown-place.net/my-picture.gif. You cannot link to pictures stored on your own PC (unless it is a publicly accessible server) nor to images stored behind authentication mechanisms such as Hotmail or Yahoo mailboxes, password-protected sites, etc. To display the image use either the BBCode [img] tag or appropriate HTML (if allowed). |

Definately MIJ. Looks like the tuners have been changed.
Do you have any pics of the control cavity? Or the space under the pickups?
My money is on flame veneer mid-tier model. |

Yes I think there is a seam at the back.
Here are some more pics of the control cavity and tuners. These are Grover Delux tuners...not sure what it comes standard with?
Very happy with it, sounds great!

Looks all original apart from the tuners, which would have been gotoh SD90's from the factory. Are the new one locking tuners? If not I'd personally be tempted to put the gotohs back on to preserve the looks and originality. Non-locking grovers wouldn't have any advantage over the originals. |
