|
|
Hi, New to this, I'll have to put some photos on at some point. Bet you get this all the time. Got a Goldstar, white maple neck, 84 buy the looks of the headstock and logo, 3 ply scratchplate, drilled slotted nickel plated machines, VII grey bottom cloth wire pickups, final prospec bent saddles, all orig, bought second hand in '94, however it has a pot metal all in one top plate and sustain block (made in japan on it) the serial number is 230515 (neckplate). Shouldn't it have a seperate top plate and block. Any idea which ST model it is.
Cheers. |

Pics get responses because before that it's tough to say anything...
'84s - TST models I've seen - 50 55 60 70 80 100
That bridge sounds like it might be a Silverstar bridge, you sure there's no screws under the saddles?
Here's a link to the '84 catalog, do you see yours there?

Hi all
quite possibly a TST-40. The 6-digit number is the giveaway.
TST-50 = 5 digit, 1 ply s'plate; "VII"pups
TST-60 = 4 digit, 1 ply s'plate; "V"pups
TST-80 = 4 digit, 1 ply s'plate; "V"pups
This only applies for MAPLE neck guitars from 1984.
Have a look in the body and on the base of the neck for stamps eg: 5=3 BB
That will also help to determine the Year.
regards

Thanks J.E.M & Peter Mac
Check the pics.
Tuners and pickups are saying ST50 to me but bridge and pick guard don't add up...
You'll notice it's sporting a Wilkinson trem at the mo, it's definately made it more resonant, however the string ends can get stuck in the block |
