Hello,
The ongoing saga of my new Love Rock that I cannot find out what it really is . . .
I have emailed Tokai to see if they shipped a guitar to the dealer
who sold it to me, but who knows when they will answer. In the
meantime, can anyone familiar with the control cavity of Chinese
Tokai's comment on this? CF pots, pretty clean solder wirework,
and routing, but I dont know about the raw wood . . . Any comments?
I want to be very sure of any information I pass on to the dealer before/if it comes to that.
I appreciate your help.

Thank you in advance!

I don't have a Chinese built Tokai LP, but found this image of the control cavity on Google if the Chinese Tokai's and it looks quite different to yours.

The unpainted cavity and use of mini-pots are red flags to me. But I don't know enough about Chinese tokais to comment further.

Yeah, I think the mystery of what it is is solved in another thread.
One good thing about popping the panel was that I can see it really is
mahogany in there instead of basswood or something like that, so
pots aside, I know its OK wood.

Thank you both for responding!
