The price is already up to US$500! The magic 'lawsuit' reference works its mojo once again. OK, its rare and looks cool, but its solid state, so surely its not going to sound that great......is it?

The seller doesn't seem to be that familiar with his gear - don't think it's rocket science to find out if the thing's got tubes or not. It might be practical for shipping purposes if he found out. Nice looking amp though.

Call me cynical, but I think saying that you don't know if its valve or solid state (and then saying it 'sounds' like a valve amp) is a good way of getting people to gamble on it being valve and have a bid, without actually lying to them. Valves inside the chassis? - I think not.
