Just got this 1981 Springy Sound and Loving it...!
Had to put down my 90's USA Fender Strat, this Tokai is simply a better instrument, hands-down...

Details:
- Very early Tokai Springy Sound stratocaster made in 1981 w/ "U" stamped pickups
- Neck is straight. Truss rod still works.
- No HSC included.
- Nice moderate U (NOT V) shape neck
- serial # on the neck plate is 1023106
- no numbers impressed on the final fret.
- According to the catalog of 81' , it has single piece maple neck, alder body.
- Impressed "TOKAI" on the saddles
- "U" stamps on the pickups
- stamped "12=4" on the neck
- stamped "12=5 MR Z" in the control cavity
- Pickup selector, three pots and capacitor are not original, but electronics are fine. _________________ Blues player |

Just replaced the pickups with: Lollar SBFSN Vintage Blackface pickups.
BOOM~! Can you say '60s Strat sound?

Yeah, I really lucked out when I put an ad in a local paper for Tokai's back in the 90's and I got the blue one for £50!
