Hi, I 'm interested in buying a tokai telecaster . I'm torn between ATE 98 and ATE 90. Could anyone tell me differences between the two? Which would you choose ? Thank you.

I'd go with the 98

The way I understand it is the ATE90 is available in these colors and uses an alder body… Sunburst, Sonic blue, Candy apple red, Lake Placid blue and Ocean turquoise. The ATE98 uses an ash body and is available in vintage natural and blonde finishes.

Yes, alder/ash is the main difference.

PS meanwhile (in 2016 ) its: ATE88 alder - ATE98B(-odybinding) alder - ATE108 ash.

Thank you very much to all. In the end I bought a ATE98 with which I am delighted. It's a great guitar. Thank you.
