We need one if not. All of you Bacchus vets need to start sharing the wealth (of info)! :)

Perhaps it could contain:

1. Models throughout the years and details (neck carves, type of wood, 1pc backs, etc)
2. Changes in the product line and manufacturing (made in China,. Japan, etc.)
3. Models to avoid and why

Just sayin'.

Well, I find that information on Bacchus guitars is a little sparce at best. Try this site for starters: http://www.japanvintageguitars.com/Bacchus.html

It will give you some of the very basics for identifying different models. Although it has yet to be updated to include the Classic Series models.

A simple guide that I use when "sorting out" the lower end models is to avoid any models which include a hundred series number. For example, 500, 600 and 700 ect...and of course the price tag :) I'm not saying that they're bad guitars, but I personally don't think they're as good as the Vintage or Classic or Duke series.

I've been looking to these for a year or so now and still find it difficult to attain good information. I'm guessing it's because, for some reason unknown to me, they're just not as popular as the more established MIJ brands such as Greco or Burny. Remember Google is your friend:)

And now for the disclaimer!!! :D I am by no means an expert and have never owned a Vintage or Duke series Bacchus but listen to the guys that have them! I know I dearly love my Classic LP and have no intentions of parting with it any time soon.

EDIT:
Couple more sites for you that may answer your construction questions. Check the descriptions, they will usually give you some detail about the body construction, pups, electronics and hardware used.

http://www.deviser.co.jp/

There is another forum around somewhere that may have a lengthy thread dedicated to Bacchus/Momose/Deviser guitars.

I've had a few, including some older ones. All I can really say is the MIJ ones are outstanding. Once thing I noticed is that the earlier "Live Road" LPs had noticeably thinner necks than the current Classic series.

The information on japanvintageguitars is a pretty good summary of the history and for current Deviser products including the Bacchus line their direct sales website in Japan has lots of pics here (in Japanese though): http://www.rakuten.co.jp/str-garage/

Here are a few I have had or still have. I think that Sneakyjapan has a bunch of Bacchus these for a while and probably knows a bit more about different models firsthand.

I've been collecting information on Bacchus and other top MIJ brands:

If there's more to add, email me and I'm happy to add it.
I have a Bacchus BEX-STD Explorer from their Classic line:

And a white Bacchus Custom on the way. I've been impressed with their quality of construction, and its tough to beat them in the price range.

There's a fairly large Bacchus thread here.

http://www.mylespaul.com/forums/other-les-pauls/142408-unofficial-official-anything-bacchus-momose-deviser-theory-photo-id-thread.html

this is from some olds threads and might be of some use

The Bacchus vintage series by deviser was from 1994 until 2004.
There were the fender copies and gibson copies both by them.
this info was originally fully by Tokai Joe but also posted on TF by greco-burst.

The early years (1994-1997)
There were the models like BST64V.....BST57V.....BST54V......BTE54V.........

All the models had a top lacquer coat on top of urethane finish.

They never used brazillian rosewood basically only indian rosewood.
*They used alder and ash, never sen and basswood.

They have the bacchus original pickups made by keiyo.

They have the string retainer at the wrong position........(except BST54V & BTE54V)

They have the wrong bacchus decal which says "begining of the new tradition" instead of "beginning of.......

"V" after the model name means "vintage".
*BTE54V has steel bridge saddles.

The transition year models (around 1998-1999)

They have the bacchus original shape headstock.

They changed the headstock shape for a while because of fender.

The fingerboard is very possibly laminated maple on 1 piece maple neck. (for maple neck models)

The later years (around 2000-2004)
There were the models like BST62.......BST57......BST54.......BTL54.......and more..........

They have the yuta pickups made by keiyo.

They have the string retainer at the correct position.

They have the correct bacchus decal possibly which finally says "beginning of the new tradition" much later years.

They still have the old WRONG bacchus decal usually which says "begining of the new tradition

They are basically the correct bacchus copies of the fender guitars.

The later models are better regarded in the japanese market because of the correct specs.

The quality of the bacchus vintage series for BOTH the early models and later models remained
very high through the years even the later models have better copy model specs.

Bacchus made the black hard case for an option but usually the guitars came with a gig bag only.

BTL54 has brass bridge saddles.
