Have owned, (and still own) a fair few guitars. Gibsons, fenders, burny, sg2000, tokai, orville etc. Mainly les pauls. Some top of the range, some mid range.

The guitar is always come back to for sound as well as feel is a humble greco mint collection from 89. The others try hard, but nothing as yet tops it.

Interestingly, it stays in tune better than any of the others.

All hail greco! [/quote]

All hail the Greco indeed! I have 3 of them these days and agree they are solid performers.

My EGF-1200 is also my favorite MIJ LP, although I think depends on the guitar more than the brand. I really like my two LS-80s too, although they're not quite as lively. Same with my Navigators.

I'm in love with the two 1st you've posted ! I have been searching for this kind of finish, without luck.
I you intend to sell the first one at some point (who knows, if you get crazy from the heat :) ) get in touch with me !

This one should be coming off the FedEx truck any minute now! My first Greco Super Real in quite a few years... I'm pumped!

It is actually an EC68-80 and is a bit heavier than the LC-100. I'd call it at tie with the fat frets on the Greco helping my fat fingers along.

I'm in Japan for the next week on holidays and enjoying the good food. I haven't found anything too interesting on sale in any of the guitar shops around Yokohama yet.

The top is a Tokai-made Greco from 1989-90. I guess the model would be EG-600 or whatever the plaintop one is. The flametop is a special model that was nitro finished and has a solid flametop. I saw one similar called an eg-1700 but can't be sure what it was exactly.
