Hi, Ive come across this Tokai Bass and was wondering if anyone could shed some light on the model and age, It seems to be a Jazz copy...the serial number on the neck plate is L26761 plus there is a very faint decal on the top of the headstock with the word Acme though this may have been fitted by a previous owner.
Thanks for any help given

My pleasure, and welcome to the forum.
Unfortunately, I don't know anything about Tokai basses, to be of any assistance.

That is an 83ish Jazz Sound.
The tuners tells that it is a lower model.

Hi mal245 , judging by the number of series is a true copy of a Tokai fender 1964 , check out the catalog of Tokai 1984 , maby there you will see your bass guitar .

hi all I have interest in learning more about my bass guitar which apparently is a tokai jb85 fretless, I hope someone will share information.
