Interesting....I'm still going to buy one I believe. I'll see if I can replicate the issue.
From what I?ve read, this kind of rattle only occurs with some (not all)of the ?C? models.
I still think it?s a ?great? little amp. Too bad, mine had that rattle.

You going to try another?
While I was in the shop (to return the THR) I tested various modeling amps, and the sounds from the Fender MustangI were kind of interesting.
I also wanted to try the MustangII, because of the 12? speaker. But it wasn?t in stock, so I ordered one.

If I keep going like this, I?m gonna end up with a same size amp as the Memphis, and some explaining to do (again) to my wife.:D
(and I still haven?t told her I?m looking at another ST)

It was pretty dominate, otherwise I wouldn?t have returned it (don?t mind a little noise, now and then  ).
It was sort of like a loose protection shield on a car exhaust manifold or muffler, resonating at certain revs.

PS I?m a mechanic

I've heard those Mustang amps are pretty cool.... I'm looking for a little one that I can haul around with me when I'm traveling.

Check out the Blackstar ID Core series. They have a 10, 20 and 40 watt model. Got the 20 watt model on Saturday and am very pleased. 150.00.

The THR (especially the 5) is ideal to carry along.

That's what I'm looking for. I bought this little ZT Junior and while it's a cool little amp with lots of headroom for the size, the modeling and effects features of the THR really are outstanding.
