Red but real?

Would value opinion on whether this is legit, looks too good to be true?

Fair point, but still high.

I have only one Tokai in this kind of condition - an FO 1983 block logo one:

It was around the ?450 mark, so I still think it's a little on the high side. On the other hand, it's rare to see these in this type on condition.
