Kind of qualifies here as it's Terada-made but assembled at the Gibson factory in the US with US parts.

?1199, with original Epi case, hangtag, Epi Brochure, checklist.

Here's the bumph:

Rare blue Kalamazoo Label 2005 Epiphone MIJ/MIA 1964 Sheraton John Lee Hooker Reissue?

RARER Natural AND Frequensator tailpiece combo model. Only 50 made in this colour.

The wooden body was hand-built in Terada, Japan by the same craftsmen who build the Epiphone Elitist models. It was finished in nitrocellulose lacquer and sent to the Gibson factory in the USA to be assembled using all Gibson components. There are many unusual features, including "New York" Mini-Humbuckers, a Frequensator Tail Piece, 5-ply Gibson Custom Binding, Tortoise Shell Pickguard, special "Tree of Life" inlay (relatively short w/greenish-gold tint), solid mahogany neck, Grover tuners, gold-plated hardware, and Blue Epiphone Kalamazoo USA sticker inside the bass f-hole. Every component, including the Mini-Humbucker pickups, is an American Gibson part, installed in the USA by Gibson technicians, and the body finish is nitrocellulose lacquer, which is generally restricted to Custom Shop instruments.

The high grade bodies and necks were produced in Japan, apparently for the 1964 Limited Edition John Lee Hooker Sheraton, and left over after Mr. Hooker passed away. Gibson USA produced these 1964 Reissues from 2000 to 2005 with the same specs as the original Hooker Ltd model without the John Lee Hooker logo, using the same American Gibson pickups, electronics, and hardware, and finishing them in gorgeous nitrocellulose laquer. The original new list price was $3,194.00 nine years ago in 2005 and the quality is right there with the current Gibson Custom Shop thinline models(ES-335, ES-345, etc.,).

This rare instrument is a faithful reproduction of a 1964 Epiphone Sheraton. The specs include the multi-bound original body shape and materials, original style large headstock with 17 degree pitch, solid center block, one piece Mahogany neck, neck joint at 19th fret, Rosewood fretboard with original style mother-of-pearl and abalone block and triangle inlays, two gold plated "New York" mini humbuckers, gold Grover tuners, multi layer "E" pickguard, and "Frequensator" tailpiece with Tuneomatic bridge.

Included is the original Epiphone logo hardshell case, checklist, Epiphone brochure and hangtag.

PICS!

Hi, I think it would be about 50 euro insured. I'd have to check.

Thanks
Terry
