Hello, new member here.
I just bought a 1984 TST56 2-Tone Burst w Maple neck which seems to be all original except for the 11 screw pickguard and PU covers/knobs/tips (all black but from what I can see online they should have been white and 8 screw)
I just took it all apart to clean it out and that pickguard was a mess, mis-cut, etc........
I wanted to know where I could buy replacement pickguard/pu covers /knobs/tips
This is my first Tokai but I have been reading here for a week or so.
Excellent condition, only 1 minor nick in the body and the frets have plenty of life left!

There are 11 in the replacement but the holes were drilled in the body separate from the original 8.
The angela did not match unfortunately but have one from mojotone on the way which says it fits most Japan as well as others (57' Strat pickguard)

I have several photos that were sent to me before I bought it but not sure how to post them here.
I do see this as an option but not how to order it or if it will even fit as it may be for one of the current Tokais?

Ok, how do you add a photo (not just a link)
I have tried using the instructions found on the FAQ page.
(all I could do with that is link to it, not show photos in the message like I have seen in here)

Post the pics on photobucket. Then next to the pic there are links to copy and paste here in the body of your text. Good luck!

Mojotone doesn't fit either.
Jeez.........guitar has already been drilled in for 2 different pickguards, not about to drill some more.
These don't show up on ebay much, eh??? :x

Hello all,

I've got a TST-'56 Strat that I'm trying to get info on.
I've been reading up on it and trying to figure out what year this thing is, is a little confusing.
From what I can gather, it may have been made between '82 and '86, but it's got some conflicting features, I think.
It's got the "flat" headstock but it also has the script logo with the backwards T that looks like an F.
The serial number stamped on the neck plate is 2396. Does the first number indicate the year? '82?
Here's a link with the pics. If anyone can provide info on this it would be greatly appreciated.
Bought this used from a friend and it's been sitting in my closet for the past 15yrs at least. I normally play a Les Paul or ES355. Never really been much of a Strat guy but after plunking around on this thing for a while, I may start playing it more regularly.
Thanks!
