|
|
Visited the new Music Store in K?ln (Cologne), in the Fender amp test room there was a Fryette Memphis standing in the corner. After playing some of the Fender tube amps I plugged in the Fryette, it was outstanding, sort off in another league than the Fenders. It was almost closing time, I only played it for 15 minutes or so. But it made a big impression on me.
Does anyone have experience with this amp? |

Spend some more time playing the Fryette and I?m convinced. It?s very versatile, more than any other amp I?ve tried, from sparkling clean to heavy rock sounds and everything in between. Played it with humbuckers, single coils and P90s and it takes them with ease. It?s easy to tweak, looks and sounds good. Downsides are the price and decibels, its loud very loud, way too loud(for home use).
But, I?ve found what I?m looking for. Got to have one, after I convince my wife. |

have you discovered how to moderate the volume using the loop? _________________ http://www.japanguitars.co.uk |

Tube combination, so far:
4 platinum Electro-Harmonix EL84 for the output stage and 4 TAD selected 12AX7A-C for the preamp. |

Here?s a little example of what the Memphis is capable of (me, not so much ).
Guitar-cable-amp, no pedals.

PS excuse me for the bad quality, it?s the only "recording device" I have. |

I made a piece of furniture for the amp to blend in the living room, in such a way that it doesn?t disturb the wife.
I guess this means it?s here to stay. |
