Hi Guys,

Thinking of bidding on this. Is it jap as seller says?

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOKAI-LES-PAUL-/171129961359#ht_102wt_958

Serial number on neck is 090661

I have little knowledge of market prices on Tokai's, whats a reasonable price to pay?

Thanks.

Bob

Odd that there are no pictures of the headstock showing the Tokai logo!
The truss rod cover screw count can give some clues.
I believe with 3 screws it will not be Japanese. Guru's will chime in soon...

On the basis of those bad quality photos, I think I can see bridge posts inserts. Which I believe is not a MIJ feature, but I could be wrong.

Thanks Guys,

Yep, the lack of a headstock piccy was the reason I was concerned! Will ask for a piccy.

Indeed bridge post inserts and slotted bridge screws = not MIJ Tokai

It did say Jap made. I asked him to confirm, his reply was 'yep'.

The fact it doesnt say that now does suggest it isnt!
