After the case rack, a guitar!

The case rack made me confident to try to build a guitar(Tele type). The cherry tree laying in the garden (brought down years ago) as finally found its purpose.









So now the wood has to dry, update in a few years. :D
 
that's going to be a heavy guitar, man

on a more seriuos note......why not cut that big piece into slab size (include enough material for waste) and store them in dry sawdust.

I was thinking of letting it take its shape/form (dry) for a year or so, and then cut it into the correct width (plus a few millimeters).
But what do I know :D , it?s my first time.
Any tips or info are always welcome and appreciated.
