PAISLEY PINK TELE

I have a japanese paisley tele but the neck plate is blank. Should the serial number be on here like on my Tokai Strat?
It's got the correct "Fender" headstock so it quite old.
Please help as i think the neck plate might not be original.

It might be a TTE-70 from the mid 80's, at least they were available here in Europe. Normally the strat's and tele's have the serial on the neck plate.

Could be, I have a (T)TE-50 tele probably from 1980 (spaghetti logo) and it has the serial on the neck plate just like my AST-40 strat from the late 80's. I've also had a 1985 TST-50, it also had the serial on the neck plate.

yeah on my tst its on the neck plate and on my other tte.
i have a tokai les paul custom and sg but i dont know their proper model numbers.
i dont really know if my strat and tele are tst50's or tst60's etc.
how do you tell?
