I think that was a great buy, the case alone is worth a good few hundred. Plus you get an ST100 with it!

It looks like a two piece body, which I would expect. I think the figure in the wood is a little more subtle than I would expect, and I'm surprised to see those knots or mineral streaks on the side and the back as well. Still a stunner and very original!

Wonderful. What is the badge on the case? Any chance of a photo of the outside of the case the material is different to the later 'tweed' Toltex material

Very cool. I'm hoping my new Tokai Japan cases will be similar with a metal Tokai badge but with the newer logo. Where did your source this beauty, Japan?

According to that sheet they used CNC for making the bodies, then the craftsman work to tolerances never before accomplished. I thought they were more or less done completely by hand with no CNC routing but I guess this is saying otherwise.

Gotta like the $50 upcharge for natural finish!

The CNC routing caught my eye as well... Thought this was pretty cool and posted for all to see!!!

$50.00 extra for Natural?? Humm ... Figured the burst Color would be more.

Gibson always charged more for natural finish - it required higher grade woods free from flaws. Sunburst was standard to hide imperfections.

Look at the model numbers...

J-45 (sunburst)
J-50 (natural, higher price)

LG-2 (sunburst)
LG-3 (natural, higher price)
