Quick pickup question...E stamped pickups

Are the tokai E stamp pickups were made by dimarzio in the US or was designed by dimarzio and made in japan?

Just add any other info that you know regarding this p/u...
Im kinda swearing by them from the sets that I have, beats 3 sets of my previous CS fender p/u's. They have a more defined pick attact and character.

No,the E pickups were made by Gotoh as were the U`, Vs and the other grey backs.I`m a big fan of the E pickups too, they were hand wound as opposed to to the U`s and have a great vintage sound, although I know they are not everybody`s cup of tea.Gabe.
