For those who don?t know, inc. me because I know precious little of this ? the original Mosrite guitars have become very collectable & valuable, especially in Japan. The first ones were made as custom orders in the early 1950?s, but became famous in late 50?s & early 60?s when the Ventures used them on a number of ?Surf? records. As you see in Hans link, they are highly stylised.
Chu-71 ?first welcome to the Forum 8) . I understand when you say you?d rather have a Tokai than a Dillion or Eastwood, and for Gibson & Fender copies almost everyone would immediately agree with you, but I have no idea on the Mosrite copies ? are they any good, do you know? What worries me slightly here is that the Mosrite shape is so individual that the market is probably tiny.
I'm not trying to put you off the Mosrite, be individual by all means (that's great), but just be aware that if you find you don?t like it or if you become bored with the unusual shape, then you might find you?re stuck with it.
