Hey guys,

I was wondering if there was a particular brand of locking tuners that would be a direct swap/no drilling required for a 2008 Tokai LS150?

Thanks.

Gotoh do a locking 3+3 kluson set which should be a direct replacement - you have Gotohs on there from the factory.

But why on earth would you need locking tuners on a hardtail guitar? :-?

Why would you swop/replace such great tuners? :D

Tuning problems?
It's not the tuners, it's the nut.

They're easier to use when changing strings, especially in a live situation, and some people just prefer them.

I would never have bothered with locking tuners unless they hadn't come standard on my Momose MC-2, but now I will put them on all my guitars when the tuners wear out.

It's just so much easier and quicker to change the strings, and the Magnum Lock versions look close enough to vintage style for my liking.

I've been spoiled for years using Carvin guitars.

+ locking tuners are just easier to use for a lazy person like me :D

I guess those are what I'm looking for?

C?mon, have a look at these, 1:1 replacement, and way better look, and lighter weight.

I use these models on 3+3 headstocks, and many of them on strats with tremolos in use. Perfect look, and function.

Thanks for pointing those out to me. :)

I wouldnt bother with locking tuners for your guitar. I wasnt too fussed with the ping tuners my LC85s came with so I purchased the gotoh version. Great tuners and at a great price.
