Need help identifying Tokai Super Edition Strat

Hi,

I have just recently bought a red and black Tokai Super Edition Strat on the internet.

It has not arrived yet so i have not got serial number yet.

Here are 3 pictures that were taken by the last owner.

So can anyone tell me anything about this guitar?
Can't find any information about it anywhere.

Chris a vert nice Brad Gillis clone. The number on the sticker at the base of the neck joint will tell you the model number.

Had a quick look in the catalogs on Tokai registry but cannot find the one covering Super editions like yours.

I have some limited edition ones like yours (red matching headstock instead of black) in my Tokai Strat book if you are interested. Preview it at http://www.blurb.com/books/2060524 (page 76 and 77). If you are super modern you can buy and e version of the book for your iPad / iPhone / iPod Touch for ?1.99! Cheers

ps Chris, whereabouts in Scotland. i grew up in Paisley and have great memories of the tokais in the Glasgow music shops

Hi Iain, thanks for the useful information, much appreciated. I'll find out the model number when it arrives.

I'm from a town called Coupar Angus near Dundee, i've never had a chance to check out the music shops in Glasgow before but will make sure to do that!

Couper Angus was on the one show the other night I think! There is one Glasgow guitar show that deals in second hand 'vintage' guitars but I cant recall what it's called. i will check with my mate and get back to you.

That shop in Glasgow is The Guitar store they have Tokais:

Other big stores if you are making the trip:

Guitar Guitar along at Trongate (nice store!)

If you need any work done then up near Shawlands is Jimmy Moon (down the wee lane) or you have Jimmy Egypt who now works within CC Music.
