Fair enough.

One thing, the TRC is not beveled but stepped laminate.
If the Tokai Bell TRC's from the Reborn are not like this it will help discount confusion.

My '85 has a bell shaped TRC. :)
It too is an oddball, having the following spec:
2 piece plain top
1 piece back
Poly finish
Bell TRC and open-book headstock
Fret edge binding
Open zebra pickups with a brass-coloured baseplate (not sure what these are?)
No markings at all anywhere on the guitar

So, my guess would be an LS50 or 60 that happens to have a slightly higher spec here and ther (FEB and 1 piece back.)

Whatever, it's nice and light, resonates beautifully, and is the best LP I've ever played.

Yes your amps look great and you are not too far from me...hmmm!

Looking at my picture above, would it be agreed that it is 18 degrees?

cheers

Barks

Glad you like the amps. :)
There's some pics here:

I haven't got a pic of the front of the headstock yet.
The covers to the pickups were added by a previous owner....I've removed them now to try and stop the pickups squealing, but they still squeal, so I'm hoping to fit a pair of Bulldog pickups soon.

Not sure about the HS angle, I'll have to check mine and get back to you. :-?

What are those pickups called?

Looks lovely Martin.

I notice that the switch and wiring is exactly the same as mine was, before rewiring to 50's specs and switchcraft hardware and cts pots.
I removed the clear plastic from behind the pots.

Also there are no identification marks inside the pup cavity like yours.

I downloaded an image of a protractor and printed it out, and cut it to do my measurement as shown above

One question.
Is the TRC like mine in that it is not beveled but "stepped" in three laminates?
I can guarantee that this TRC has been in place since at least 1990 when I bought the guitar.
The issue is if it is original or not to the guitar's manufacture date of 1985, as this year seems to be throwing up some confusion due to inconsistencies, which have been partially confirmed by the last few posts..

here is a ****** pic:

...and my serial number is 5031058 - just a few up from yours!

Getting interesting...

Looks like they're from the same batch?
More pics. you can't see too well from them, but my TRC is stepped and made from laminates, rather than bevelled.

Looks lovely. My maple top has a similar wide grain "flame" as well.

It would be good to know if anybody with a Reborn with an original bell TRC has the same 3 stepped laminate - non bevelled?
