Started playing again after 20 odd years! Just dug out my mates pale blue tokai strat.
He bought this new in the early eighties, the headstock is the same colour as the body (pale but not metalic blue)with gold TOKAI. One of the machine heads is bust (two screws)
Any ideas of the model and where to get a new machine head?
Great guitar never went out of tune even in punk band!

Working away for a few days. When I get back i will open a new topic and try to take some pix.
It is early eighties but a much lighter colour than the one on Ebay(pale powder blue with a rosewood fboard)
mates thinking of swapping it for my Yam AEX 500,nice guitar but different league!

Take a look at the logo comparison pictures at the bottom of this page:

Should tell you what you've got. Is it a Springy sound or Goldstar sound? Also if the numbered sticker isn't still on it check the bottoms of the pickups for markings.
