It's been refinished as someone painted it green with a big brush! Used to be sunburst but it's natural wood now. Reasonable condition for year, a few knocks and marks but then it's 24/26 years old! When I refinished it I also fitted a new wiring harness from http://www.hoaglandbrothers.com/ and a Kent Armstrong pickup. Any ideas on value would be greatly appreciated!

That's a nice bass, it looks great and I bet it plays great too.

Unfortunately (or fortunately for those who want to buy them?), Tokai basses don't sell for very much compared to the guitars. With a refinish, I expect you'd have a tough sell on your hands. It will probably be worth more as a player to you than it is likely to sell for.

Speaking as a buyer, if I were to want your guitar I would much prefer it to have the original pickup rather than the Kent Armstrong. For me the more original parts the better, no matter what they have beem replaced with.

Ian.
