previous to my observations with the 'scope & the pickups, I was under the impression that the Maxon & Greco pickups with the waxy substance on the bases were not potted.
after my observations with the 'scope, I assume my previous impressions were wrong.
I now assume that basically all of the Maxon & Greco pickups that have the waxy substance on the bases are indeed potted.
I have Greco pickups with this waxy substance on the bases that date to as late as 1989 ..............
