Looking at the Hofner replicas by Tokai, Jay Turser and Dillion it's hard to imagine these guitars are'nt made in the same factory. They share hardware and construction detail, Ned ,I know you said that the Epi's and Korean Tokai are not related but that new Love Rock headstock looks like the Epiphone LP, also I have seen two different vol. and tone control layouts on the Love Rock...Whatupwitdat?

Gibson is using more than one factory for the Epi's. For example the Swedish Eagle guitars are made in a factory that also produces some of the Epi's. That might explain why some of the Epi LP's are quite good and some real crap. The factory that produces the Eagle's is a smaller one, not Samick. I wonder which factory produces the PRS Santana? It seems to be a really good Korean guitar.
