|
|
Picked up this DSL100 and 1960A cab.
Wow, a Love Rock into this amp = "the tone".
Too loud for my current playing situation, so I think I'll trade it for a DSL50 2x12 Combo (same tone).

Just grab youself a Marshall powerbrake, same tone but as quiet as you like. Much better than a THD hotplate IMO |

The 4x12 becomes very addictive even at very low volumes, the sound seems to be coming from the all over the room, whereas with the 1x12 the sounds seems so small.
I'll check out the powerbrake, thanks. |

Too loud for my apartment, so...
I sold the DSL100 and cab, got a great price.
Replacing it with an 85th Anniversary 2x12 combo.
This one.

Same great DSL tone, but also a cool collectors item. |

Nice looking amp, but I'm sure that'll be too loud as well |

No such thing as "too loud for my apartment.." (or, house in my case..)
Too loud for my neighbor's, perhaps.. _________________ There is no revolution, only evolution.. |

True.
But, at least a 50w allows me to have the MV on 2, with the 100 the MV was 0,5.... |

Get a powerbrake, if you think it sounds good on 2 just wait 'til you crank it up |

Sold the DSL100 and cab today, for $ 1865,00.
Sounds like a LOT, but in SAfrican terms it's a good price, it retails for $3,000.
The 1923 85th Anniversary 2x12 Combo is waiting for me, I'll have it in a few days...can't wait. |
