what does "Esukasshon" mean?
 
No, but I once got a translation that said there was a maniac in the fretboard!

You need Tokai Joe, but he doesn't seem to be around any more.

Yeah it is a Japanese word for a protective plate generally referring to one that surrounds a key hole etc. I guess they do not have an actual word for pickup surround so they use the old classic term to best describe it. I suppose they could just use Katakana but if they do not know the actual English word in the 1st place, Katakana won't help them much :p
