 I have a Greco strat from the early 80's and it's of the same quality as my TST and AST's of that period! 8) TG

I have one of the Lord Player models and I think it's a fantastic guitar for the money. It really feels and plays like a les paul should. Most of the Studio Lords I've seen don't have the lawsuit style headstock, but, I think the rest of the construction is the same as the Lord Players. I also have a 1980(?)(ink stamped serial #) Love Rock and there are some differences between the two.

1. The neck on the Yamaha feels a little thicker.
2. The Tokai is lighter weight.
3. The finish on the Yamaha feels most like Gibson guitars that I've played. I'm not sure what kind of finish it is.
4. The Tokai is acoustically louder and more bright when unplugged.

Of course, you would probably find some of these differences comparing two Love Rocks or two of any type or brand.
