'Hedgehog sandwich'
I too owned Hedgehog sandwich - on cassette 'cos I didn't have a turntable, a comedy gem if ever there was.

Probably the first record I had was "the funky gibbon" by the goodies - I guess I was about 5.

First record I bought for myself with my hard earned paper round wages was Iron Maiden's Piece of Mind

Dire Straits - Money for Nothing.

Not the single (actually I never cared so much about that particular song).. but the "best of" cd that came out around 1987/88... I was 14 years old. Cd players were still a novelty

I had a few records already.. but all presents.. that was the first one I bought with my money

More Dire Straits!

Brothers in Arms - First Cassette
Born in the USA - First LP
I don't know which was first out of those two.

First CD - Thrash n' Crash (metal compilation)

First payed for with my own money, either Slippery When Wet, Kill 'em All or Appetite for Destruction. Not sure which, but definitely one of the three!

first records I ever bought weren't records, they were 8 tracks

I bought 3 or 4; thought I was hot stuff

Deep Purple - Machine Head - 1972
Elton John - Greatest Hits - 1974
Bad Comapny - Straight Shooter - 1975
Not bad taste, for a poor ole boy from Louisiana..........
This had to be about 1975, maybe early '76

VERY soon after that, I went out & bought everything that KISS had recorded & released, up to that time

Before I started playing Strats, I could play any KISS song, backwards

My first two concerts were in the summer of 1976 (at 15 years) first was Blackmore's Rainbow - Rainbow Rising Tour & the KISS - Destroyer Tour

WOW, the 70s were the shizzle, NOTHING like it since :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
