Hi,

Things have changed somewhat so I am now looking for a regular set of Gibson '57 classics with Zebbra bobbins.

If you're have a pair lying around but wiht the chrome covers still on, have a look and see what's underneath the covers...maybe yours are the ones that I need..

Thanks in advance for your help.

Regards,

Joop

Hi guys,

To be Zebra, the bobbin with the adjusting screws must be Black, the cream bobbin has the bungs. If not it is reverse zebra.

If you don't want to ruin the soldered cover, turn the pickup over. There are 4 brass screws holding the bobbins to the plate, Unscrew 1 only. look through the hole and see if it is cream. Put the screw back in. Then loosen the screw directly above (or below) and repeat process.
If you can't see anything they're both black.
