Due to having too many humbucker guitars, and me falling COMPLETELY in love with my Modern Eagle, my PRS McCarty Rosewood is up for sale. It currently has Bare Knuckle Holydiver pickups fitted, but I can re-fit the original McCarty pickups if you'd rather just have those and save a few quid.
Full spec of the guitar is:
* 1999 PRS McCarty in McCarty Burst
* Solid Indian Rosewood neck (really dark and chocolatey)
* Indian Rosewood fingerboard
* Moon inlays
* Great 'old skool' flamed maple top that's really alive
* Super resonant with great sustain and a balanced and even tone
* No fret wear
* Fully set up with 9.5s for a low to medium action, it plays like a dream!
* The Bare Knuckle Holydiver pickups really suit this guitar, it's got growl and clarity
The guitar is in very good condition. The only things worth mentioning are:
* One small ding (photo below)
* Some small swirls etc in the finish on the back (usual light wear marks)
* Usual dulling of the nickel bridge and stock pickup covers
* The volume pot has been replaced with a top spec CTS pot as the original failed (original in the case)
* It has a paper in oil tone capacitor fitted (original in the case)
* The case covering is quite worn along the bottom edge, but it's just cosmetic. There's no damage to the case itself.
Rosewood necked McCartys are no longer available to buy new and they don't come up for sale that often, especially at this crazy low price!
