any infos at all?

are 400 ? ok?
is it really an `84 model?
I know it?s hard to tell from those pictures,
but a "thumbs up" from you guys would be a relief.

I bought it for 350?.
Checked the registry once again, should be from `86.
I?ll let you guys know what I think of it when it`s here.

86 views and no replys - should I be nervous ?

Hiya,

For a start its not a Goldstar! At best it is a custom or super edition. We need more pictures, especially underneath the pickguard and base of the neck to see if there is Tokai stamping.

Even if its genuine enough, I think you paid a wee bit too much, but as long as you are happy thats all that matters.

Ok so here are some pics.
Guitar plays and sounds pretty well.
I?m curious about your opinion, folks.

Hi Simon, neck looks fine. Is there a code in the body route like 7 = 1 OW Z. The OW is olympic white but they also did SW = Snow white.

If you look in the registry section of the 1987 catalog I think you will find the custom editions in there

are they brass trem saddles? They look like Tokai ones with a keyhole shape in the middle but hard to tell from your distant photo

Thanks for replying.

I couldn`t find a color code or anything else in the body route.
Everything covered with lacquer.
The trem saddles are not made out of brass, I believe.
Not quite sure what metal was used.

Take a look

So far the guitar really turned out pretty great.
Sounds really balanced, even with the cheap pickups installed.
Brought it to the guitar tech where the neck was adjusted and now it
plays very decent.
Judging by the whole feel I?m pretty sure it`s a tokai, or at least sth. of similar quality.

I was looking at her and think it's a late eighties early nineties- 88-95
the neck butt has T-1
All the Goldstars made up to 1986 would have a number with and equals sign ie: 5=8
And the control cavity and possibly the Neck pickup cavity should have the same equals sign ie: 5=8 OW Z also
-not with a hyphen.
Also the pickup routing doesn't look correct as well as the pickup selector switch???
