been looking at that one for two days now .......... the (top) finish has me thrown off ........... seller states it's original finish tho' ..........

Looks like a real gem to me. If I had any cash I'd snap that up.
Yep, finish does look almost too good - I'd risk it though.

colour spec. for '78 - '82 LS-100V top = VF, CS, OS but then of course, I'm not real keen on catalogs

........

the condition of the top finish looks incredibly clean for a 29 year vintage finish ......... not so sure if it's original, or not
it's an odd one, for sure, nice tho'

Put in a lower offer last night and checked this morning and auction closed for a negotiated price and appears to be a rinkya bidder......have yet to receive confirmation if I was the winning bid.....any one else here put in a offer

Yep, that's what the 84 catologue says but this is an 81 and with tokai you never know!

the Tokai logo didn't look to have the aged/yellowed look of a 'cashew' finish, which is a designation for a finish coat, not a color designation ...............

the top color does look more or less colorless aka natural, basically like it was clear coated with lacquer, and then slightly aged over time.
The logo doesn't seem to have the same 'look' ...............
To my eyes it doesn't add up as being the so called 'cashew' finish

MAN, That is some serious money for a ls100,If it is?

But that top is so rare and perfect,i would bump the price up by 40,000 yen as well!
