Dating a Burny

Post by gigantor » Thu Mar 24, 2005 5:08 am

I just bought a Burny Les Paul Junior (2 cutaways) but I cannot date it. I have checked the Guitars Japan page (http://www.guitarsjapan.com/burnyfernandesinfopage.html) but still I'm not sure what I have.

My guitar has:

- a serial no. (03070222)
- a bell shape truss rod cover (2 screws) but no ridges
- an abalone-looking Burny logo inlay on the headstock
(instead of a standard gold decal)
- no other writing / decal on the headstock

Any ideas? Thanks!

OK, I found the answer myself: according to the latest FERNANDES catalogue I have a 2003 model and it's made in Japan. :D

Where'd you find the list on Burny's site? Thanks. Rick

h?h?! I saw that one. Really nice guitar! I like that kind of simple finish. Nothing too flashy, just the color of the wood :P ! really cool!
