This is interesting http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7338060587&indexURL=2#ebayphotohosting .

Don?t know if seller (?Hiro?) knows this info from his own research, or if he?s partly copying our old discussions from this forum (he uses same criteria that we emphasised, eg double-ring tuners & inked numbers ? that makes me think he?s at least partly influenced by what?s been said here). But note the circuit board & inked number (also the tuner buttons which are more ?pearloid? looking than typical early Tokai). He says pups are ?original Tokai?, which is confusing since a 78 Reborn would originally have Gotoh pups, but ? I?ll email him and ask a few probing questions :-? .

Hiro had a similar one some weeks ago on ebay. The same link between Tokai and Burny. But - if I remember correctly - it had the "classical" Burny script on the headstock, not Fernandes.

I have a Burny from the 70s just being discussed on the Others-Section - someone just said it might be made at the same factory, too. It has a stamped serail no. I frankly don't know!

It's here on page 2, incudilng some pics: http://www.tokaiforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=3517

I've been asking Hiro some questions on this one, too. I will let you know when I know more :-?

OK, thanks Skywoolf, I?ll reply on the other thread where you have the pics ? this is interesting topic, but has potential for argument & some rash claims (at least that?s what happened last time lol) ? anyway, ?continued under your other thread? :-?
