Help identifying two beautiful Goldstar Sounds

I think this is my first post on here so here goes:

I recently bought two Goldstar from a guy who claimed they were top of the range 'custom shop' models from Tokai.

Could anyone confirm that or help with the model number and dating them.

The links to both guitars pictures are as follows:

Tokai didn't have a "custom shop" from back then as far as I know.
I'm not an expert but i can tell you they are both Have Tokai necks and body's. The OW finished one doesn't have it's original pickups anymore. Hopefully some with better knowledge of the strat styled Tokai's will chime in for you.

Nice photos and nice guitars. They look stock, no custom shop, not sure about black based pick ups.

The white one looks like it has been rewired as that is not a stock Tokai selector switch - which should be like the sunburst one.

Mine is an 86-87 Goldie that has the same switch as the SB.

Jono, confused why would you say you bought them but now selling them. Were you trying to fool someone?

The sunburst model is an 85 St 50,the pickups are standard Japanese alnicos and the guitar is finished in poly. The White mode l looks to have ve been an ST60 whose original E stamped pickups have been replaced .Both are way overpriced in my opinion.

My old eyes can't see the join lines in the sellers pics for the sunburst.. The ad says one piece body...and nitro finish... would be a drag to have to refund someone's purchase price + return shipping for an error in the listing. The body wood might also be Sen wood, which is not Ash.

@iainblack I bought them off a collector, all at once, and I am now selling them. Nothing to fool or hide. Just wanted to make sure things are ok.

@bluejeannot and @brokentoes thanks so much for the information! I'll change the descriptions straight away. It looks 1 piece? Would you say differently?

I would be amazed if the body was one piece .More likely to be 2 and it will be alder not sen .The replacement pickups on the white ST60 look very like Fender Texas Specials by the way.

@bluejeannot would you like me to post any more photos for you to confirm this? Happy to do so!

I don't claim to be an expert on woodgrain, but that's some real nicely grained Alder if that's the case.

That burst is Sen, not Alder... it does really look like one piece to me but you can't say 100% from the pic's and with a dark edge, handling it is the only way to know for sure.
