first she had Burstbucker 1 in the neck and a BB3 in the bridge. They sounded nice but I had a pair of seth lovers I had to try out.... I love them so far!

Bridge is weird, The saddles aren't cut for the strings. Can anyone recommend a great bridge for this? The tailpiece is aluminum, Humph.

Over all I am loving this guitar. I researched Les's and it didn't take long to figure out that I wanted a tokai. First I found one in RI that the guy bought from Godlyke. It had a shaved down headstock and Horn and oddest of all, the controls were reversed. The neck pickup knob was about an inch from the bridge. Once I saw that I knew I could never get over it.
Then I almost bought an edwards (cash burning hole in pocket). They look like great guitars, but I had my heart set on the Tokai. Then this came up on Ebay. $850 american. It was on there about 20 minutes and "buy it now".

I am very happy. Tons of sustain and that blues tone I couldn't quite get with the Gretsch.

I hope the pics work. and Please help me out with a bridge and anything else you can think of. thanx Digs

Try the Faber kits that Togps is selling...MANY forum members swear by them.

Nice find m8....
The only plain tops that I like are 'Bacco bursts....once you learn a bit more about Tokai though I can see MORE in your future.
I reckon if you picked up a nice LS80 you'll have both ends of the Tokai models covered....you know about the difference in headstock angle yeah?

:D very cool your two warm sunbursts are! where in the bay area
are you from? i was originally from stockton when i was in CA.

8) so we are both the home boys of N.CA then.......very cool !!!!

now how about him above?

Hi Guys,
First O'daddy. Yes I am aware of the headstock angle. I wish I could've found an LS80 before I bought this one. It was such a panic buy that I didn't have time to truly research it. But luckily I am a very simple man and I am very happy with the guitar I did get and maybe just maybe when one pops up on here and I have cash in hand??? haha that'll never happen!

Next, South bay!! Sunnyvale , just up the peninsula from San Jose. We should start our own NorCal Tokai Owners Group. We could charge a membership fee and then I could buy myself an LS80 with the profits....

Nice to meet you guys!
