This from GuitarPlayer website:

Tokai Registry
By Barry Cleveland | June 2005

Beginning in the late ?70s, the Japanese manufacturer Tokai created ?replicas? of several classic Fender and Gibson guitars, and marketed them under various brand names, including Reborn, Reborn Old, and Love Rocks.

Today, interest in these instruments has reached global cult proportions, and the principal Web destination for collectors and other enthusiasts is: tokairegistry.com. According to Tokai Registry founder Ned Cullen, ?The goal is to document each Tokai model, identify model differences, and provide a reliable guide for the determination of guitar build dates.?

By the way, is the article in Guitar Player the same as the web site message, or is there more than that?

The online piece is the same as the mag, it's just a short bit but we'll take it.

I personally want to thank Ian for his help in word smithing the quote and all his help on the forum.

Ned ? sorry for very late reply, I only just saw your post & kind words above  ? but have to say all the good stuff on this site is 100% down to you.

Re. the June issue of GP, I meant to get a copy before replying, but everywhere I went they?d sold out ? I never did get a copy, got sidetracked with other stuff, & slowly forgot about the thread  . Anyway congrats on getting that into print, and Mucos Gracias for all things Tokai :-? .

Ian.

Ian-

Your the one that keeps these forums going and are a wealth of Tokai knowledge - couldn't do this without you man.

Under Advertising on TokaiRegistry.com there is a PDF of the article.
