Hi I guess :)

Post by Ozeguitarguy » Sat Mar 07, 2020 8:11 am

Hi people....
I was on these forums from 2000 til around 2010.
I won't go into my forced absence here but needless to say from reading the forums there is a desperate need for knowledge.
I know what I know...don't profess to be an "expert" but i may be able to help with identifying LEGITIMATE Tokai and other MiJ Vintage gear..
I'm a contributor to the Tokai Facebook page and have been for some time.
I currently own a 1985 LS80...a Chinese made Tokai SG and many other Japanese and Korean built guitars.
I hope I can be of some assistance :)

Hi !!!!!

What was your old forum name ?? Something similar to what it is now ?? I may remember you as someone who helped me out 12 or so years ago.

8) oze? ozeshinman? i am hamamatsu now but i was called TJ here before. still talking to mickman sometimes since and you two too? this forum needs the supports so much lately even its still the best of all the best guitar forums. not so popular anymore now like it used to be before. marcus and luis and brokentoes are still here but not many posters. whoever you are, you remind me of a great oz guy named ozeshin once here before. he was a topgun here and a fantastic admin. i miss those days with those great mates here. ozeshin, mick, mike, luis, marcus, more. and that japanese funny guy named tokai joe/sushi guy too! everyday was so much fun here back then. i miss it so much and thanks so much for ned for this best forum ever. so now, it maybe very slow but lets make it here very fun and popular again. its 2020 now and i guess we can make it if we all try! thank you so much and welcome home oze !!!!! joey hamamatsu, aka TJ from yokosuka, japan!

My thoughts on this is that It'll be hard to 'revive' this forum when most interest is merely towards threads posted by oneself!
I think more participation outside one's personal interest is what's needed?

I've been on these forums continuously since then, and from your replies on the "please help me" thread it seems clear you are not the saviour you imagine yourself to be.

Your opinion is welcome but you need to accept you are not any more of an authority than any other member here.

I'm jumping back in as well. No idea why, just found myself looking at the forums a couple of days ago.
Thought I'd better post something!

Cheers

I check in here on a daily basis but I rarely log-in unless I see something that I may be able to offer some info on, or something of interest.

Welcome back 8)

Well, the reason I like PAFs is because they are the most single coil sounding of the buckers - Possum

I too don't visit the site as often as in the past. Life sometimes gets in the way and all that. I hope to visit more going forward. My collection has grown over the years so maybe I can be of help to others....Joe [TJ]is that you :o?

Welcome back OZ.
