Does Tokai still make the Breezy Sound?

If there is no serial number, how can you tell a new one from a well loved old one?

I know about the variation in the headstocks from early to mid/late 80's.
If they are in current production, what do the headstocks look like?

Far as I'm aware, they still make them. They're still on the Tokai website.

I think the headstock depends on where you buy them from.

Yes they still make them and they're awesome.
You'll know it's a new one by the serial number.

2014 - ATE95S - all mahogany...one of the new models.

Wow they are beautiful. How do they compare to the 80's breezy sound?
I have one and it's my favorite guitar and i have many.

I haven't personally owned a 80s Breezy.

The new ones and the old ones are all made in the same factory so the similarities are clear to see, it's the same guitar, just a newer version.

I've seen and played a few 80s models that have come to my guitar techs workshop for setups...the ones I've played all had vintage specs, 7.25" neck radius and vintage frets.

What's cool about the current models is the choice of more modern specs.
The ATE models have 9.5" radius necks and medium frets, the TTE models still come with vintage 80s specs.

These days Tokai are happy to make "Custom" spec models using unusual colours, jumbo frets, different fretboards, etc.
The TTE55B model you see in my photos have 6100/6105 frets, maple fretboard instead of rosewood, custom colour HDC (Heritage Dark Cherry), which makes for a very unique Tele.
The all mahogany ATE95S with the P90 is the most unusual/amazing Tele I've ever played...killer guitar.

I've always wanted a p90 tele. That thing looks stunning. Is it a catalog model or a custom order? Any more pics?

It makes an appearance in Catalog #27.
I added a few custom specs like brass saddles.
I ordered a few then realised I had ordered too few, :D , and Tokai are now on 5-6 month backorder on MIJ orders. :(
