Hi, don't think I've ever seen one that starts with C. FC would indicate China and I don't think the Korean tokais had a serial number. Are you in the UK - does the headstock have a nipple in the centre of the open book shape?

If your patient I'm sure others with more experience of non MIJ love rocks will chime in.

It is definitely not Japanese,, It is either Chinese or Korean,, not sure on the serial number because my Chinese model has no number, A pic of the back of the body and headstock might shed some light on where it was made.
 
It would be a current production ALS48, Cherry Sunburst.

Some S/N's start with a C, some are just numbers, even within the same batch of guitars.

The shop that you bought it from didn't know what model it was?
 
I just mailed to Tokaiguitars.co.uk and said that it is ALS48. So this supports your answers, thanx very much for the replies.
