Picked up this rare gem

Not only am I a fan of Japanese guitars, I am a die hard Charvel fan. These were clearly Tokai's attempt to tap into the Charvel market in 1981. The guitar is super resonant and light.

1982 catalog.

I think that’s a typo in the catalog. The VSB is the bass I believe.

R = rosewood fretboard.

I think the serial is 1981. Probably late 81 didn't make the 81 catalog
