I had, in a previous life a few cool Tokais. My main guitars 38 years ago were Gibson Les Paul Jrs. People used to call me to pick up the toy guitars. Every one seemed to like locking nut trems. I was fortunate.
Well I liked Tokais because they brought the goods on Fender style guitars at a good price. My main music store was "Shoreline Music" located in Guilford, then Madison and finally Westbrook CT. Shop was owned by Harvey Thurrot, a great guy.
Lost everything in the 1990s, but after crawling my way out I decided to look for a guitar in 2012. By Providence 8 years earlier I ended up in front of Hamer guitars, remembered them and have bought several. Have been fortunate enough to have two Shishkovs as well. Mike worked at Hamer for 25 years and his work is top notch.
Just looking, but Tokais are as bewildering in model names as Hamer
Really wanna learn about jr's that would be good for me, large necks preference her
Glad to be here.
