I've been eyeing Tokais for a while, and finally jumped on a FV-50 Flying V that should be making the trip from Japan to Montana here shortly.
I'm a fan of Les Paul, V, Explorer, and Stratocaster style guitars, especially the '70s style Strat, so I've been eyeing Silver Stars for a while.
Other Japanese guitars I have owned have been Ibanez RS440 (my very first guitar), Ibanez AR50, and a Fujigen Fender ST72.
I'm joining up because I know I'll have questions about the guitar I just bought and others I'll be looking at in the future, and because I thought it would be fun to share what I find with people who know and love these guitars.
I largely play '70s and '80s styles of hard rock and heavy metal, but enjoy many kinds of music. I am primarily a home player who occasionally writes songs, but I love to get together with others and play out when opportunity arises.
