I'm thinking of selling my 1980 cherry sunburst egf1000 super real,
with dimarzio paf pickups.
It was bought from villager and is in good condition.
I replaced the stop/tail and bridge with faber parts and slightly aged them, the old ones were horrible looking,it will come with them anyway.
If someone knows how to post pictures from photobucket rather than a link i'd be greatful.
I'm looking for ?1350 which is roughly what i paid, but check the value
with villager if you like.
Cheers.

How did you get the picture up?
I'm selling both of them.
The 59 1000d mint collection is ?750,it is heavier than the super real but
not sure exact weight somewhere around 10lb i guess.
The super real is a nice weight i'd guess 9.5lb you can feel the difference
between them.
The mint collection is a better looking guitar in my opinion but the super real
has a different sound more vintage, but i've got shed pickups in both.
The dimarzios were ok,but nothing special, the best i had them sound is in
a double cut i made.
The only reason i'm selling is to make 3 accurate 59 replica les pauls which
cost quite alot, for example pickup rings are ?200 a set, correct inlays etc all
costs money.
Anyway,
Cheers.

They have flame veneer over a solid maple plain top i think.
You've got to pay alot more money for a solid flame.
The sound isn't affected and they have brazillian boards.
It's really loud and bright unplugged,they are lovely guitars,if i didn't
need the money i wouldn't sell it.
Cheers.

Hi, Does the EGF1000 have a solid or veneer top? Thanks

You pretty much have to find an EGF1800 to get a solid flame top. They are not easy to come by. 8)

or a Tokai LS150/200 from the same golden era. But both are pretty rare and expensive.

Any offers are welcome.
you can try before buying if you're near London.
I didn't think it would be that difficult selling this,i don't want
to put it on ebay if i can help it.
Thanks.
